Background: Nurses' knowledge of patient safety is needed to prevent errors or
unwanted actions. For this reason, it is necessary to have good knowledge for
nurses to be able to produce a good action in the future.
Objective: This study aims to examine the correlation between knowledge of
nurses about patient safety and implementation of fall risk prevention assessment
at RSI Unisma Malang.
Methods: The design of this study used a descriptive analytical with a cross
sectional approach. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling, which
was 67 people. The instrument used in the study was a questionnaire. The
statistical test used in this study was Somers'd calculation.
Results: The research data showed that nurses' knowledge about patient safety
was good (83.6%) and sufficient (16.4%). Meanwhile, the implementation of the
fall risk prevention assessment was found good (89.6%) and sufficient (10.4%).
The results of statistical analysis using Somers'd test obtained p value of 0.002
